Who is the winner of ENTRANCE Award 2024?
On 20 June 2024, the ENTRANCE Award, an award for pioneers in the energy transition, will be presented for the third time. An expert jury will select from the nominees based on preset criteria. The ENTRANCE Award -worth EUR 100,000- is open for nomination of individuals, civil society organisations or companies in the Netherlands that deliver an innovation or achievement that contributes to the energy transition. Nominations can be made until 17 May next. The award ceremony will take place on 20 June during the New Energy Forum, annual festival for (upcoming) energy and mobility professionals at Zernike Campus Groningen.
The ENTRANCE Award was created by ENTRANCE – Centre of Expertise Energy to support and reward innovative initiatives for the energy transition. Previous winners were BioBTX (2022) and New Born Rubber (2023).
Nominees must meet the following criteria:
- Deliver an innovation or achievement that contributes significantly to the energy transition and/or scale up an innovation to make a substantial impact on the energy transition.
- Benefit from the support of ENTRANCE and its partners.
The ENTRANCE Award worth EUR 100,000 consists of a cash prize of EUR 25,000 and a support package tailored to the needs of the winner.
The submitted nominations will be assessed by an expert jury consisting of Ruud Koornstra (entrepreneur/innovator), Jörg Gigler (TKI Nieuw Gas), Koen Kok (TU Eindhoven), Dick Pouwels (CvB Hanzehogeschool Groningen), Eelkje Oldenburger (Milling Company Europe) and Marcel Koenis (ENTRANCE).
Nominations can be submitted until 17 May via www.entrance.eu.
